Seal Oil Capsules

Omega3 fatty acids doesn’t sound like something we should take, however; it may be the best and most essential of all nutrients that we can take. Being upfront, I’m just a normal individual who is trying to live a healthy life style. I have started to take seal oil capsules for the following reasons.

The reason for choosing the seal oil capsule, over others, was from a personal perspective. Seals eat fish of all kinds and therefore they should have more  omega 3 then fish. They eat cod, salmon, shrimp, herring, squid, crustaceans, molluscs, flounder, hake etc. A study has revealed that the harp seals’ diet consists of at least 67 species of fish and 70 species of invertebrates.

In my opinion, there are too many seals and something has to be done to cull them. Unfortunately animal rights groups and their supporters have destroyed a way of life and a rich food supply for many people. This has had the negative affect of decreasing fish stocks. I recognize, the fact, that something had to be done with the inhumane ways that seals were being killed. It may be time for governments to re-visit their decisions and not be influenced by anyone who is for or against the seal hunt.

Now that I have finished my rant let’s see the value of seal oil capsules, how they are made and where the seals are harvested.

Where does the oil come from for seal oil capsules? The oil comes from the blubber of many species of seals. Most of them, to my knowledge, are harvested, under government control and regulations, in the north atlantic. Alaska and Northern communities, that have access to the Arctic ocean, also harvest seals.

The capsules themselves are made from gelatin and water. They are filled with the seal oil that has been rendered from the seal blubber. The process of rendering out the oil is simple. I would recommend checking this out yourself as I would not want to give information that could harm you. Just query a search engine with how to render seal blubber or something similar.

Listed below are some of the benefits of taking omega3 seal oil capsules as published on some supplier websites, I just started {Mar 18,2020} taking the capsules so I have no background history.

One report says that it helps reduce risk of cardiovascular disease and aids in heart health. Before taking the capsules, I  had a checkup and my heart tests were excellent

I get gout and apparently seal oil capsules helps to combat inflammation for those who may have arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Gout is a form of arthritis. Hopefully it will help as I prefer not to take perscriptions.

Helps the functions of the central nervous system and cognitive abilities like memory. I need memory help.

This info was taken from a Harvard study. Link in blue People in good health. If you’re healthy and at low or average risk for heart disease, chances are you don’t need an omega-3 supplement, provided you eat fish often, says Dr. Manson. You should eat at least two servings a week of fatty fish, such as salmon, tuna, or herring. Aim for fish that are high in two different omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), each of which provides unique health benefits.

The problem we have is getting good fish. Personally, I am not a fan of farmed fish, especially from certain countries.

As mentioned I had a perfect check up in March 2020, I’m 71  years old, a non smoker and I try and keep myself in shape through physical work. I do eat fresh fish, when available and I take one omega3 seal oil capsule supplement daily.

Check with a physician to ensure that this supplement is something that would benefit you

  1. Omega-3s come in several forms, most commonly as triglycerides. Some fish oils that are more processed may contain omega-3 ethyl esters, which don’t seem to be absorbed as well. Natural fish oil contains the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. It also provides vitamins A and D. .  Processed fish oils are purified and/or concentrated. They’re more vulnerable to oxidation and less easily absorbed by your body unless they’re converted back into triglycerides via a synthetic process.

    Thanks for the article.

  2. Well! This is great to see here. I would have never considered the thought to take this omega 3 before but seeing what you have written here and how you have simplified here, I cannot but be moved into giving in to this. Thank you so much for sharing this post out here. Personally, I would like to consult my doctor to see if this supplement would be worthy. Thanks

  3. This is all very interesting. I actually work in a pharmacy and, even though we have a million omega-3 options, I have never seen seal oil products. I also had no idea that seal overpopulation was an issue. Wondering if harvesting seals affects the predators above them on the food chain – sharks and polar bears, for example. I always get nervous when we start messing with ecosystems. Thanks for this information – I will have to look into it further!

  4. Thanx, to give us a fantastic article.I really enjoy your article.I have a pharmacy.I saw seal oil and I ate it.I am very aware of health. You have described its benefits in beautiful ways. That’s why you really deserve praise.I have learned a lot from it. everyone needs to know about Seal Oil Capsules. This has seemed to be good.
I will share it on my social media. My friend and family person will know about it..

  5. It amazes me how far products such as  these have come. Blessed be those of pure heart who want to help people’s health. May God bless them all. There are so many ingredients one may be unable to eat because of whatever condition they may have. However, it is thanks to capsules as these that they get by.

  6. I would say this article is very educative and beneficial to human health. The benefits of omega 3 fatty acids are unquestionable and knowing that we can derive these fatty acids from seal oil capsules is really a blessing to humanity and a call for concern as you stated.

I think the governments of countries can encourage farmers and Ichthyologists to concentrate more on the production of Seals as well as fishes to avoid extinction which is their greatest fear. May be through that we can have more seal oil capsules. Thanks for sharing, I really learnt alot.

  7. I know fish oil is a popular supplement and my husband has been taking it for a couple of years. I’ve never heard of sea oil capsules and we’ve been down the road with trying various supplements. It sounds like it has some of the same benefits, like helping with gout and memory, but what makes it superior to just the regular fish oil supplements we’ve been buying?

Thanks for all this great info!

    1. Thanks for your comment. My reasoning was in the post, however; you have to determine for yourself what is best for your health.

  8. Nice to read your amazing article about seal oil capsule and omega 3. Really Omega 3  is benefited to health. We should also take advise to our doctor that how much  quantity is best for our health, what is its best supplements and know more about the side effect of taking in excessive quantities. Thanks for such great article.

  9. This is a very interesting article about Seal Oil Capsules and never would have taught about this method of obtaining omega 3 fatty acids.  I am a very high risk of heart disease as being diabetic with high blood pressure. I try to eat Salmon for then three times a week but however, you tend to want different foods. I will have to mention these capsules to my doctor, see if can take it.

  10. Interesting article. I have never heard of seal oil until reading your article. I have always thought omega3 and foods with omega oils, were more for brain health than heart health. Fish is a brain food, was what I have always been told. Correct me if I am wrong please.

Certainly an interesting supplement to investigate, are there any links you could point me to, that give medical / scientific information in determining the value of seal oil in human consumption.

    Regards,
